08 Dec Do Elk and Deer Get Caught in Your Farm Fencing?
in Americover BUILDS
Elk farming produces elk as livestock or for hunting, and the market is rising in popularity. The farm fence is made with high-tensile wire, and a strand of barbed wire. This is usually enough to contain the animals in the grazing area. However recently we’ve had some customers purchase HDPE to attach to the fence when it is being installed to prevent the Elk’s antlers from getting caught in the wire, it also prevents them from seeing what’s on the other side of the fence.
HDPE is a very heavy duty liner, and in this case 30-40 mil sufficed. This liner has outstanding chemical resistance, environmental stress crack resistance, thermal aging characteristics, and excellent UV resistance making it perfect for an outdoors application.
