San Diego Food Bank

Fight Hunger, Feed Hope

Americover proudly donates to the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank every year, and it’s exciting to see how many people they have helped with their organization. An average of 370,000 people per month in San Diego County were distributed and served about 22.3 million pounds of food in 2014. Some of the people that were able to benefit were low-income families and youth, military families, and fixed-income seniors. They have several different food distribution and outreach programs that are funded by foundations, corporations, individual donors and the USDA to assist those in need.

The San Diego Food Bank has helped to feed hungry families in our communities since 1977, but they haven’t done it alone. There are volunteers from schools, businesses and corporations, senior citizen groups, retirees, community service clubs, restaurants and hospitality businesses, and delegates and conference attendees who donate their time, efforts, money and resources to help this organization continue building a healthy future for our children.
