The Challenge
As AGA brings Kaiser’s new glass-themed hospital expansion to life, their team faced a unique challenge: how to protect intricate glass fins and architectural panels during the construction phase.
With extensive overhead work and tight spaces around fragile materials, standard covers simply weren’t up to the task.
The Solution: Custom-Fabricated Grommet Tarps
To ensure complete protection, Americover partnered with AGA’s on-site staff to custom fabricate a reinforced polyethylene grommet tarp — designed specifically for this application.
Our solution featured:

Reinforced polyethylene outer layer for strength and tear resistance

Soft felt-like geomembrane interior to cushion the glass surfaces

Precision grommet spacing for easy installation and secure fastening
Each tarp was carefully fitted over the glass fins and secured with zip ties to stay in place throughout ongoing construction activity.
The Result
The custom tarps provided a durable yet gentle barrier, allowing AGA’s team to continue construction safely while maintaining the integrity of the glass design.
By combining technical expertise with custom fabrication, Americover helped protect one of the most striking architectural features of the new Kaiser facility — ensuring beauty and performance from construction through completion.
