For 33 years, Americover has built its reputation on one core principle: prioritizing American manufacturing. Since our founding in 1993, we’ve proudly offered one of the widest selections of plastic sheeting solutions made in the USA—long before tariffs, compliance mandates, or global supply chain concerns shaped industry conversations.
Today, as new tariffs and unpredictable price shifts ripple across the construction and industrial materials market, that commitment matters more than ever.
What We’re Seeing in the Market
Recent tariff announcements have begun to affect specific materials, particularly in categories such as flame retardant (FR) additives. While FR additives themselves are not currently subject to direct tariff increases, we’ve seen vendors issue broader price hikes using tariffs as justification, even on products that are not directly impacted.
These increases often come without notice, and like many in the industry, we aren’t always informed in advance. But when changes happen, we act quickly—to review the cost structure, question what’s driving it, and most importantly, to be upfront with our customers.
Our Commitment to You
At Americover, we’re more than just a supplier—we’re an advocate for builders, contractors, and businesses who depend on reliable materials and fair pricing. Our team works hard behind the scenes to ensure any price changes are necessary, accurate, and grounded in reality—not convenience.
Here’s what you can count on from us:
-
We prioritize American-made materials.
While not every product can be sourced domestically, we pride ourselves on offering one of the largest selections of U.S.-made plastic sheeting in the market—and we continue to expand that lineup. -
We do not outsource to cut corners.
We have no plans to shift sourcing overseas in response to tariffs. Our brand is rooted in quality and consistency, not shortcuts. -
We absorb costs wherever possible.
If we can avoid passing a cost increase onto our customers, we will. And if an increase is unavoidable, we’ll let you know as soon as it affects us. -
We’ve been committed to quality for over three decades.
Our legacy is built on reliability, transparency, and service that supports your success.
Where We Stand Now
At this time, we have not raised prices on our fire retardant or string reinforced plastic sheeting products in response to recent tariff updates. The majority of these materials remain unaffected, but we continue to monitor developments closely.
We know uncertainty makes planning harder. Whether you need help sourcing an alternative product, clarifying compliance needs, or preparing for upcoming projects, our team is here to support you.
Thank you for trusting Americover—and for supporting American manufacturing with us since 1993.
