Root Barrier

Americover’s Root Barrier is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) film starting at 30 mil or 40 mil, up to 100 mil thicknesses. Root Barrier works as a waterproof seal to protect the soil from moisture loss and redirect tree roots to prevent costly root damage to nearby structures.  Root Barrier is available in standard widths of 24″, 30″ and 36″. Lengths start at 50′.

Americover’s Root Barrier can be installed in a linear planting style or as a surrounding barrier so you can protect foundations, utility piping, hardscapes, and pavements.  With proper installation, the root barrier will act as a wall to redirect root growth without harming the tree or bamboo.
