Vapor Barrier Retarders are composed of polyolefin resins to create a puncture resistant vapor barrier for use under concrete slabs to restrict moisture migration.
Radon diffusion coefficient, blue (ISO/TS 11665-13): 15 mil, 7.6 x 10-12 m²/s; 20 mil, 6.5 x 10-12 m²/s. The 10 mil blue and all yellow versions are not tested for radon.
Methane transmission rate, blue (ASTM D1434): 10 mil, 44.8; 15 mil, 22.4; 20 mil, 8.97 mL(STP)/m²·day.
Water vapor permeance (ASTM F1249): 10 mil, 0.018; 15 mil, 0.0078; 20 mil, 0.0055 perms.

Vapor Barrier Retarders are composed of high-performance polyolefin resins to create a highly puncture-resistant vapor barrier for use under concrete slabs or in the building envelope to restrict moisture migration. Americover’s vapor barriers meet or exceed ASTM E1745 Class A, B, and C standards for water vapor retarders used in contact with soil or granular fill under concrete slabs.
Vapor Barrier Retarders are available in 10, 15, and 20 mil thicknesses. Color options include blue.
